Maurice Dufrêne was head of the ‘La Maîtrise’ ateliers. These ateliers were belonged to the Galeries Lafayette department store.
-In this way, the clients would be able to buy furniture and decorative arts according to the latest trends.
Next to La Maîtrise there were the famous ‘Primavera’ ateliers, ‘Pomone’ ateliers lead by Paul Follot for Bon Marché and ‘Studium’ lead by Kohlmann for Les Magasins du Louvre.
