1983 ‘Pepper Young’ Coffee table by Philippe Starck for Disform

Description

A sculptural and poetical coffee table designed by Philippe Starck for the Spanish company Disform.

The Pepper Young model was designed in 1978 and was named after ‘Pepper Young,’ one of the characters in the science fiction book Ubik. The American author Philip K. Dick inspired Philippe Starck in the choice of names for many creations.

This table is composed of four metal legs, topped by a sphere in molded polyurethane, which brings stability to the structure by preventing the glass top from moving or sliding.
