Remarkable chaise longue by the designer & artist Anders Hammarstrand. This 1983 model is the first ever designed of a larger series which Mr Hammarstrand continues to make at this moment?

The series can be considered as an hommage to Rietveld but is of course much more than that. The chairs all have a continuous line which function almost as a ‘écriture’. Often the function on  seating is combined with storage or more sculptural ambiguous options.
