1949 Avant garde unique shelving unit designed by Jacques Dupuis

Between 1948 and 1952 Jacques Dupuis and Roger Bastin delivered two Buildings for the ESMA company. It was this company that had the need for a so called “foyer social” A place where the employees of the company could spend quality time. A bowling, swimming pool, game rooms, theater,restaurant and bars could be found in these projects.

This wall unit was designed for the Malmédy building in the East of Belgium towards the German Border. A white lacquered wooden structure that was designed to use behind the bar. It’s a unique piece.
