In 1974, Donald Judd produced a series of three aquatint prints, each titled Untitled. These works are cataloged in the Schellmann catalogue raisonné as numbers 84, 85, and 86. Each print was created in an edition of 70, with six additional artist’s proofs. They were printed at Styria Studio in New York and published by Judd himself. The prints are characterized by their minimalist geometric forms, rendered in black aquatint on etching paper. Each image measures approximately  895 x 587 mm, with sheet sizes around 1064mm x 749 mm.

These aquatints exemplify Judd’s exploration of form and space, emphasizing clarity and simplicity, hallmarks of his minimalist approach. The use of aquatint allowed for rich, uniform areas of tone, aligning with his interest in precise, unmodulated surfaces.
