1973 César Bailleux ‘Tecno Cactus’ bronze sculpture


César Bailleux (1937-2019) started making ‘tecno nature’ in the mid sixties. First in PVC plastics and later early seventies in red copper and bronze. Tecno Nature refers to imaging nature as an industrial process. The cycle of water, air, life…

Later the ‘tecno cacti’ series came. 1973 was the year when the first bronzes were made with the fire perdu procedure. In 1975 Axel Vervoordt dedicated a Tecno Nature show.
